Two arrests and appeal for witnesses over crashed 'blue Volvo car'

Two or three people left the scene of a crash in Galway on Thursday night, Gardaí say.

TWO PEOPLE HAVE been arrested and an appeal for witnesses has been issued after a blue Volvo car crashed in Milltown, Co Galway on Thursday night.

Gardaí in Tuam have appealed for witnesses who may have seen the blue Volvo car with either an 08 or 09 registration, between 7pm and 9pm on Thursday evening in the area of south Mayo or north Galway.

Investigating officers say that at 9.30pm a car matching this description crashed at Bellmont in Milltown, Co Galway.

Two individuals were arrested at the scene and taken to Galway University Hospital where their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Gardaí have asked that anyone who may have seen two or three individuals leaving the scene on foot to come forward.
