Gardaí seize €120,000 in cash and drugs worth €40,000 in Cork raids

Two men have been charged with the seizures and are due before court today.

GARDAÍ HAVE SEIZED drugs worth €40,000 and around €120,000 in cash in two raids in Cork commuters towns.

On Thursday, gardaí discovered cannabis herb worth around €40,000 at a house in Rochestown, near Douglas, Co Cork.

Two men in their 30s were arrested and detained at Mayfield garda station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 a.

During the search of another property in Carrigtwohill, Co Cork approximately €120,000 cash was also seized.

Both men have been charged with the seizures and are due before court today.
