AROUND £1,500 IN cash was seized as part of a Criminal Assets Bureau raid on a house in Longford town this afternoon.
Some of the cash was found hidden in a pair of socks; documentation was also seized and no arrests were made.
The search operation was conducted as part of ongoing investigations targeting an organised criminal group based in Co Longford.
Officers from the The Criminal Assets Bureau were assisted by the Garda National Stolen Motor Vehicle Investigation Unit and Revenue Customs in conducting a search operation this afternoon.
