FROM THE BUSINESSMAN whose first ever record was the Grease soundtrack to the first year Trinity College student who knew all the answers, the world-famous story of Grease is one that’s unforgettable for all ages – or is it?
Grease returns to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from 17-28 September and Bord Gáis Energy are rewarding theatre goers with Ireland’s first singing pop-up diner, The Unmissable Rewards Diner, complete with American-style food and singing waiters.
To celebrate, we took to the streets of Dublin to find out how much people really remembered about our favourite Rydell High students.
And the results were pretty mixed… From which country Sandy was from to what exactly was unusual about the Grease Lightning car that Sandy and Danny drove away in, to the details of Frenchy’s beauty school mishap, we heard it all.
We even challenged each of our T-Birds and Pink Ladies to perform their favourite song from Grease and heard almost-stage-worthy renditions of Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Greased Lightning and of course, You’re The One That I Want.
Which song would you sing? Keep your eyes peeled for another chance to win tickets to Grease and a VIP experience at The Unmissable Rewards Diner over the next week…
The Unmissable Rewards Diner is Ireland’s first singing diner, created by Bord Gáis Energy. The 1950s themed pop-up diner will be serving an all-American menu as a pre-show dining experience for Grease, from September 17-28 at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. Exclusive to Bord Gáis Energy Rewards Club members, keep an eye on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @bordgaisenergy to experience it.
