SENDING OUT FRIEND requests to friends on Facebook can be sometimes be a fruitless experience. Some people will accept, others won’t and some will just politely ignore it.

Although you can check to see which people have left your request languishing and it only takes a moment or two to check.

Checking it is pretty straightforward. The first step is to open up Facebook on your browser, not the app.

Here you want to go to your friend requests tab, and click on see all at the bottom.

Now you will be shown a different page and presented with a longer list of mutual friends. Instead of scrolling down, you want to click on View Sent Requests at the top.

Doing that will show you everyone who you sent out a request to but hasn’t responded yet. Chances are if you’ve sent out a friend request a few weeks ago and they still haven’t accepted, it’s probably better to cut your losses.

Also, if you sent out a request to someone and they aren’t appearing here, then that’s also a hint to move on.
