Interpol issues alert for missing twins after father found dead
Father who took twin girls from their Swiss home at the end of January died in Italy three days ago, sparking an international search for the children.
INTERPOL HAS ISSUED AN international missing persons notice for two six-year-old girls who were taken from their Swiss home by their father, Matthias Schepp, on 30 January.
Schepp died in south-eastern Italy three days ago, but police are still searching for the two girls.
The international police organisation says that when they went missing, Alessia Schepp was wearing a red and white striped T-shirt, jeans, a brown jacket and black shoes. Her twin sister Livia was wearing a green T-shirt, jeans, a violet ski jacket and Adidas trainers.
They are both described as being 115cm (about 3′ 7”) tall and have blonde hair.
The BBC reports that Matthias Schepp, who was separated from the children’s mother, threw himself under a train in Italy on Friday. Police in France, Italy and Switzerland are involved in the search for his daughters.
