Better bring the brolly. Today will be mixed

Better watch that fake tan later this evening as heavy showers are on the way.

IT’S A DAY for the brolly. Today will be mixed with none of us knowing quite what to wear.

Met Eireann said it’ll become increasingly cloudy with outbreaks of rain.

While many places will remain dry, rain will be mainly over Connacht and the northern half of the country initially with southern and southeastern areas staying dry.

However, if you are heading out tonight, be prepared as by early evening the rain will become heavy and persistent along the west coast.

The rain will extend eastwards through the early part of the night.

Met Eireann also warns there’s a risk of thunderstorms with local surface flooding and poor visibility.
