Irish medical students injured after crash in Malawi

The Department of Foreign Affairs said it is aware of the incident.

A NUMBER OF Irish medical students have been injured in a road crash in Malawi.

A spokesman for the Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed that it has been made aware of the incident and that consular assistance is being given to the families of those involved.

The department could not comment on the severity of the students’ injuries.

The students were reportedly on a placement in Zambia and had been visiting Malawi when the crash happened.
