A MAN IN his 30s has died after he was struck by a van in Co Kilkenny this morning.
The fatal collision happened on the R693 near Arigan Bridge, Cooleshal, Freshford, Co Kilkenny at around 9.30am.
The collision involved a van and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been taken to University Hospital Waterford, where a port-mortem examination will take place.
The road was closed for a time but has since been reopened.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
Any road users who were travelling from Freshford towards Kilkenny between 9am and 9.30am and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, are asked to make this footage available.
