Man (70s) dies after house fire in Co Tipperary

The fire occurred at a house in Clonmel yesterday evening.

A MAN IN his 70s has died following a house fire in Co Tipperary.

The incident happened yesterday evening at around 6pm at a residence in Carrigeen, Clonmel.

A man in his 70s was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

His body was removed to University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem examination will take place.

The scene is currently preserved for technical examination and a garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
