GARDAÍ ARE TREATING the death of a man and a girl found dead in Finglas, Dublin yesterday evening as a suspected murder-suicide.
The little girl was 6-years-old.
The two bodies were discovered at a house in Finglas. Gardaí and emergency services were called to the home in the Cappagh area shortly before 8pm.
Sources have said that it is early in the investigation but that they don’t believe they will be looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.
There was no sign of forced entry at the scene.
The bodies of the man and the child are still at the home.
In a statement, a garda spokesperson said that the location has been preserved for an exmaination by the Garda Technical Bureau.
“Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of two bodies at a domestic residence in Finglas, Dublin,” the spokesperson said.
“The coroner has been notificed and the services of the Office of the State Pathologist have been requested.”
