Man (30s) dies in suspected stabbing in Cork

The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination.

A MAN IN his 30s has died in a suspected stabbing incident in Cork this evening.

It is understood the man managed to make his way back to his apartment in Camden Court in Carroll’s Quay having been stabbed in the city at about 7.30pm.

The emergency services were called to the property. However, the man was pronounced dead at the scene by a local GP.

The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination. The body remains at the apartment.

The Office of the State Pathologist has been contacted. A postmortem will determine the course of the Garda investigation in to the death.

Gardaí have commenced door to door inquiries in the area. CCTV from the area will also be harvested. Investigations are ongoing.
