GET YOUR FRYING pans at the ready – it’s Pancake Tuesday aka Shrove Tuesday.
It’s that time of year again when we all stuff our faces with pancakes ahead of Lent that kicks in on Wednesday.
Even though it began around religious reasons, the food industry certainly have cashed in on all the wonderful ways you can enjoy a pancake (or five).
Bord Bia have some delicious recipes on their website featuring pancakes with berries and maple syrup.
You can have them savoury or sweet, slathered in butter or with ice-cream, cover them in Nutella or a squeeze of lemon. Do you like the ‘Irish style’ (which are thin) or American style?
