Further job cuts planned at PayPal's Dublin office, government told

It is not clear how many employees will be affected by this round of redundancies.

PAYPAL IS PLANNING redundancies at its Dublin office, the government has said.

It is understood that staff were informed about “restructuring” via an email sent out this afternoon.

The Department of Enterprise confirmed that it was notified of proposed collective redundancies by PayPal last Friday.

“Any further queries should be directed to the company,” a spokesperson for the Department said.

PayPal has been approached for comment.

It is not clear how many employees will be affected by this round of redundancies.

In 2024, PayPal slimmed down its Dublin office, cutting 290 jobs across two rounds of redundancies.

The company’s Dundalk office closed in 2023 and employees who remained after job cuts switched to remote working.
