WHILE THE DEPARTMENT of Finance has reportedly been examining the merits of a special scheme to support new buyers, the Government is concerned that any such scheme would just fuel the property market, reports The Irish Times.

However, it is reported that there are concerns it could cause an “inadvertent boost in the market”.
