RYAN TUBRIDY IS getting back behind the mic at RTÉ Radio 1 in the coming weeks after a five year absence.
He moved to 2fm following the death of Gerry Ryan in 2010, but will now take over an hour-long morning slot at Radio 1 from September 17.
His listenership had been steadily increasing in recent years, but questions remain over whether they will follow him.
