Poll: Have you 'gotten over' Saipan?

The 2002 row is back on the front pages – but how do you feel about it now?

ROY KEANE HAS been revisiting the Saipan controversy again in recent days. The Ireland assistant manager said he would have been happy to lead his country out at the 2002 World Cup if he had received an apology from Mick McCarthy.

The infamous training camp row has been back on the tabloid front pages with Liam Gaskin, Mick McCarthy’s agent, telling The Irish Sun: ”I cannot believe that 16 years later, he still hasn’t managed to let this go.”

We’re not going to go over the whole controversy again – but you’ll find background on the row here.

16 years on, we’re asking: Have you gotten over the Saipan incident?
