WATCH: Grounded cargo ship stays put in Louth

The ship and crew are in no danger says the Irish Coastguard.

THE SECOND SHIP to run aground in a week remains stuck in Drogheda. The ‘Arklow Ruler’ is an 80 metre long ship with a non hazardous cargo and eight people on board.

The Arklow Raider, a sister ship of the Arklow Ruler. The Arklow Raider ran aground in October 2012.

Attempts at re-floating the The Arklow Ruler were unsuccessful yesterday.

The Irish Coastguard said no pollution has been sighted as a result of the ship and that the ship is no danger.
