Teenager mugged after passenger jumped from car wielding a baseball bat

It has been reported the girl was returning from the Longitude music festival.

A TEENAGE GIRL was mugged in Dublin early this morning as she made her way home.

The girl was threatened by a man wielding a baseball bat who took her bag. The driver of the car attempted to steal the bag of the woman’s friend.

The incident occurred in Skerries around 1.45am this morning. reports that the 18-year-old and her friend were returning from the Longitude music festival.

A statement from An Garda Síochána said:

“Gardaí are investigating a robbery from an 18 year old woman that occurred near Shenick Grove, Skerries.

“A car pulled up on front of the woman and a passenger of the car got out carrying an apparent baseball bat and stole the woman’s bag and phone. There were no injuries sustained in this incident.”

Investigations are continuing.
