The Garda helicopter got an amazing view of the Millennium (Falcon) lightSpire last night...

An Garda Síochána has been getting in on the whole Star Wars mania thing.

SO THERE’S A movie out called Star Wars (we think) – you might have heard of it.

This week the Millennium Spire on O’Connell Street has been lit up like a lightsaber to commemorate the release of The Force Awakens.

And now the gardaí have joined the fun.

They captured some truly special images of the light show from the sky last night.

There’s a problem with their tweet though: they left out the word ‘may’.

Still though, great work all round. Special mention to their redubbing of the Garda helicopter as “our Millennium Falcon”.
