• Fianna Fáil’s first Ard Fhéis since its crippling result last year’s General Election continued today. Delegates unanimously endorsed the adoption of a one member, one vote system which the party says is the “most radical reform” to its organisation structure. • The International Committee of the Red Cross has still not been granted entry to the besieged neighbourhood of Baba Amr in the Syrian city of Homs to distribute vital aid to the people suffering there. Earlier today, the bodies of journalists Marie Colvin and Remi Ochlik who were killed during shelling attacks were released to diplomats so they could return home to the US and France.
• Gardaí are seeking the public’s assistance following the theft of the preserved heart of Dublin saint Laurence O’Toole from Christ Church Cathedral today.
• There has been huge reaction to photos showing thousands of people queuing outside the RDS today for the Working Abroad Expo as people search for job opportunities outside of Ireland.
• AIB is still paying for staff gym and golf club fees, it was revealed by TheJournal.ie this morning.
• A proposal to build the National Children’s Hospital at the Coombe site has been sent to the Minister for Health.
• The IMF has raised hopes for a deal that could reduce Ireland’s Anglo Irish Bank debt pile.
