QUIZ: 25 years on, The Full Monty is back as an original series on Disney+ but can you remember the original film?

Can you score top marks in this quiz about the 90s’ classic?

ONE OF THE cult classics of the 90s’, The Full Monty is making a return as an exciting new original series on Disney+!

The 1997 movie was a surprise hit film thanks to Simon Beaufoy’s script, which told the story of a group of working-class guys who devised a Magic Mike-esque plan to save the town, with the film ending ultimately as the out-of-work men revealed all to the crowd.

It’s a rather sweet and innocent film, which seems like a strange thing to say when the main plot of the film is a group of men taking their clothes off for money, but at its core it’s just a group of men who want to find some meaning in a world which seems to have forgotten about them.

Now the gang are back 25 years later and we’ll finally discover what happened when they put their kit back on as the new original series from Disney+ explores the brighter, sillier and more desperate moments of the men from Sheffield. Are Gaz and Dave still inseparable? Did Gerald and his wife ever make it on that ski holiday? How has the world changed for the rest of the working-class heroes from Sheffield?

Academy Award-winning screenwriter Simon Beaufoy returns at the helm of the new series along with plenty of the original cast including Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy and Lesley Sharp. But we’ll also meet new characters along the way including Talitha Wing (Alex Rider, The Feed), Tupele Dorgu (Hollyoaks, Coronation Street), Phillip Rhys Chaudhary (24, The Good Doctor) and Paul Clayton (Peep Show, House of the Dragon).
