MANY A BANK holiday weekend started off unexpectedly for a lot of people, with problems with Visa processing payment transactions meaning many are unable to use their cards this evening.
Irish banks AIB, Permanent TSB and Bank of Ireland have all said some customers here are being affected by the issues.
Permanent TSB, for example, said that customers’ Visa debit cards can be used at ATMs but may not work in shops or restaurants.
