'What mother wouldn't want this for her children?': New video campaign urges Yes vote

The Yes side has launched a new website urging people to contribute video messages.

A NEW WEBSITE with dozens of videos of politicians, public figures and ordinary people urging a Yes vote in the forthcoming same-sex marriage referendum has been launched today.

Vote With Us, co-founded by Dónal Mulligan, Eoin Wilson and Ewan Kelly, has launched a website containing around 50 videos.

They’re urged the public to get involved by submitting their own video messages giving their reasons for why they’re voting Yes.

The videos include the Socialist TD Paul Murphy urging people not to vote No in order to give the government a kick:

Well-known supporters of the referendum like Panti also have their say:

The diverse contributions also include mother-of-three Dolores Power who says she’s voting Yes because “I want all my children treated equally”:

The referendum is due to take place on 22 May with opinion polls showing strong support for a Yes vote.

However last week, the Equality Minister Aodhán Ó Ríordáin warned that the result is likely to be very close:
