STRESSFUL SCHEDULES CALL for moments of calm. Yoga retreats and weekly classes are a great outlet to unwind, switch-off from technology and set aside some you-time after a long weeke.
In the last decade, countless yoga studios have cropped up around Ireland, providing a little bit of zen in our daily routines.
Here’re four events promoting self-care across the country this weekend.

Did you know that you can give back to the community by partaking in an hour of charity yoga organised by Balanced Ireland? They’ve organised a few events to raise money for various causes. On this occasion funds will be raised for The Christine Buckley Centre, who work to help people dealing with trauma from industrial schools and organisations. Balanced regularly hold outdoor yoga sessions, be sure to keep an eye out for future meet-ups.

Lucybloom Webb, from the Yoga Dublin studio will be hosting a morning comprised of a ninety-minute yoga practice followed by a delicious vegan brunch. Webb will also talk about the benefits of a vegan lifestyle. The aim of this masterclass is to focus on the importance of nourishment for both the mind and body.

Returning for its fourth year, the Inishbofin Yoga Event has a full programme of classes curated by Christine Stewart. This year, guests include teachers Benita Wolfe Galvan, Jaye Martin and Jack Harrison. Days filled with calm set to the tranquil surrounds at Doonmore Hotel, situated along of Ireland’s breathtaking west coast, will have you recharged in no time.

Where: In front of the bandstand, Fitzgerald’s Park
Cork City’s Himayala Yoga Centre kicked off their weekly outdoor classes this month and they’re doing it to raise much-needed funds for the Simon Community. The 75-minute classes welcome all levels from novices to experts.
All you need to bring is a yoga mat, a donation of your choice and positive vibes.
