1. US President Donald Trump boasted of a “turnaround for the ages” in his State of the Union speech last night, seeking to reverse dismal polls and see off mounting challenges at home and abroad ahead of crucial midterm elections.

The proposals are to be contained in the Maritime Security Strategy (MSS) which will be published this morning at a ceremony in Dublin.
