Video: A rather terrifying trailer for a play in Dublin

Broadening features at ABSOLUT Fringe this week… watch and shiver.

PROBABLY BEST TO show you this sneak peek of a play hitting Dublin a little after the watershed.

This is a trailer for Glass Doll Productions’ Broadening. It’s a new play by Peter Dunne which is showing at ABSOLUT Fringe this week.

The production is based on the Stanford Prison Experiments of the 1970s which “challenged the relationship between those who have authority and those who allow them to have it”. (The official site detailing those experiments is here).

The premise of Broadening is that seven people from different walks of life are put in a ‘house’ together – some have control; others are the submissives. The effects of being given such power – or not – are unpredictable and make for volatile viewing.

Last year’s production from Glass Doll, I Am My Own Wife, sold out and garnered five-star reviews. Going by the trailer, this one is likely to be as atmospheric:
