THE LATEST TRAILER for the Oscar-rumour-laden Irish film ‘Brooklyn’ was released yesterday and in it we got to see a good bit more of the aul sod.

Based on Colm Tóibín’s novel about a young Irish woman who moves to America to start a new life, Saoirse Ronan is already being talked about to get her second Academy Award nomination.

The film is due out next month and also features Ireland’s other hottest Hollywood property in the shape of Domhnall Gleeson.

The book the film is based on was longlisted for the Booker Prize in 2009 and there’ll be plenty of hype both here and abroad when it does hit the cinemas.

Brooklyn is directed by Irish filmmaker John Crowley and is released on 6 November.
