24 breathtaking photos taken by Irish camera club members

Irish Photographic Federation competition shows off some of the best photos taken by Irish enthusiasts this past year.

WE ALL FANCY ourselves as photographers these days with cameras on our phones and pocket digital devices. However, there are still some images that just stand out as evidenced by this selection from the Irish Photographic Federation’s 2013 Print and Projected Image competition.

The contest invited entries from camera clubs across Ireland. The best overall image came from Des Clinton of Drogheda Photographic Club. He took the first image in the following slideshow, of a Roma family who he befriended near Cluj in Romania.
