Spanish woman arrested at Dublin Airport over cocaine seizure

The cocaine seized has an estimated street value of €140,000.

GARDAÍ FROM THE Garda National Drugs Unit along with Officers from Revenue Customs Service have seized cocaine with an estimated street value of €140,000.

The discovery was made during a search operation at Dublin Airport yesterday evening and a female of Spanish nationality was arrested at the scene.

It is believed the woman is in her 30s.

She is currently being detained at Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking Act) 1996.

She can be detained for up to 7 days.

Gardaí have said the investigation is ongoing.
