Two men injured in explosion in the back garden of a Coolock house

The two men were allegedly involved in the making a pipe bomb at the time.

TWO MEN WERE injured last night in a explosion in the back garden of a home in Coolock, Dublin.

The incident, where the alleged device exploded, happened on Moateview Avenue at around 7.30pm.

The men are in their late 20s.

They were taken to Beaumont Hospital and their injuries are non-life threatening, said the gardaí.

Sources claim that it was a situation where the making of a pipe bomb “had gone awry”.

Gardaí are currently investigating the circumstances of the explosion.
