Heading home? Services on the DART line going north are not running

Expect delays.

COMMUTERS HEADING HOME this evening will facing difficulties on both the DART and Luas.

Services on the DART north of Connolly Station have been suspended due to an overhead line fault.

Currently it is unclear how long these delays are expected to go on for, and commuters are being advised that their tickets can be redeemed on Dublin Bus services.

The Drogheda and Maynooth services are still running, but are feeling the effects of knock on delays.

Compounding the misery for those heading home for the weekend is the ongoing strike action being taken by Luas workers.

AA Roadwatch is advising motorists to expect delays on all major routes, especially around Ranelagh, Canal Road, Rock Road, and the Stillorgan Road.

Around 90,000 people use the Luas to travel to work on a daily basis.
