Pay as much or as little as you want to see Enda Kenny sing live in Cork

Okay, it’s not the Enda Kenny you’re thinking of…

THOUGH IT IS safe to say the name Enda Kenny is well known in Ireland, this Irish singer bearing the same name as our Taoiseach is virtually unknown in his native country, though he has had great success in Australia.

“Enda Kenny is simply the best folk singer-songwriter working in Australia,” according to a review in the Sydney Morning Herald.

Another reviewer said he was probably the best Irish songwriter living outside the Emerald Isle. He has released seven acclaimed albums and worked with some well-known names in Australia.

Ahead of his Irish stage debut in Ballymaloe Grainstore, Co Cork on 20 September, this Enda Kenny is already getting a better response than the country’s leader. During his trip here he will be hoping to drum up a bit of an Irish following – because of his music rather than his familiar name.

The venue is offering tickets on a ‘pay as you leave for value received’ basis so at the end of the gig you can decide to pay whatever you want for Enda’s concert.

Imagine being able to do that with the Taoisech’s salary.

Anyone hoping to head along to the gig can find more information here.
