#HELSINKI SUMMIT: Donald Trump said that his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin has changed the relationship between the two countries. Trump’s comments in a press conference following the meeting have been widely criticised in the US.
#CUSTOMS BILL: Theresa May bowed to pressure from eurosceptics in her Conservative Party by agreeing to a series of amendments to a bill setting up a new customs regime after Brexit.
#LEGAL ACTION: A caver who helped rescue 12 boys from a Thai cave said he may take legal action against Elon Musk after the entrepreneur made unsubstantiated allegations against him.
PARTING SHOT
An estimated 500,000 fans turned out to welcome home the World Cup winning French team at a homecoming parade on the Champs-Elysees.
As the celebrating players travelled on an open-air bus nine jets from the Patrouille de France, the air force’s acrobatic unit, did an honorary flyover trailing blue, white and red smoke.
French President Emmanuel Macron has already promised the Legion of Honour for the victors’ “exceptional services” to the country.
