1. #ROADS:A four-year old boy has died following a two-car collision in Lough Gur, Co Limerick earlier today. The crash happened at around 1.15pm this afternoon when the car in which he was travelling collided with another vehicle.

2. #ABORTION:Police in the UK are investigating after a woman who travelled to London from Ireland for an abortion died. The Irish Times reported this morning that the 32-year-old woman had been discharged from a Marie Stopes clinic in London when she suffered post-surgery complications in a taxi, hours after the procedure.

3. #CANADA: A young Irish man is in an induced coma after being injured in a car crash in Vancouver. The Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed to TheJournal.ie that Luke Carey, a student from Ireland, was injured in the car crash at the weekend.

4. #MENTAL HEALTH: Non-consenting mental health patients will no longer be forced to undergo electric shock therapy (ECT) under proposed legislation. Minister Kathleen Lynch, confirmed to TheJournal.ie that recommendations in relation to ECT made by the expert group who are reviewing the mental health act, will be implemented.

5. #HEZBOLLAH: The BBC reports that EU foreign ministers have agreed to list the military wing of Lebanese militant group Hezbollah as a terrorist organisation. It will now become illegal for Hezbollah sympathisers in Europe to send the group money, and enable the freezing of the group’s assets there.
