POLICE SAY A train has derailed in central Poland, killing four passengers and injuring dozens of others.
A spokeswoman for local police, Ewa Drozdz, says the train was travelling from Warsaw to the southern city of Katowice when it derailed Friday afternoon in the village of Baby, near the central city of Piotrkow Trybunalski.
The engine and three of the carriages went off the tracks.
Ms. Drozdz said four people were killed and dozens of others injured aboard the PKP state-rail-company Intercity train.
She said rescue teams are working at the site and that the cause of the accident wasn’t immediately known.
