Two separate weather warnings for freezing fog and temperatures dropping lower than minus three
Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal are worst affected.

MET ÉIREANN HAS issued two separate weather warnings for tonight.

A status orange fog warning has been issued for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.

Widespread dense fog is expected overnight, with some freezing fog in places.

The warning will come into effect from 9pm tonight and remain in place until 10am tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, the same areas have also been issued with a low temperature warning along with Munster.

Met Éireann is warning that temperatures overnight will fall to lower than minus three degrees locally.

The status yellow warning is valid from 7pm this evening until 10am tomorrow morning.
