Ireland says I do

Ireland already being promoted as tourist destination for same-sex couples to get hitched

Is Ireland the best small country in the world to have a gay wedding?

IRELAND IS ALREADY being promoted as a wedding and honeymoon destination for gay couples, just days after the country voted Yes to same-sex marriage.

The new campaign by Tourism Ireland ‘Ireland says I do’ has been developed over the past year in anticipation of a Yes vote in Friday’s referendum.

The campaign is being rolled out in nine markets, including Britain, the United States, Canada, the Nordic region, Australia, France, Spain, Italy and Germany.

Tourism Ireland states:

Yes, it’s all about love in Ireland, from fun-tastic LGBT events like The Outing (the world’s first ever LGBT matchmaking festival) to some of the most romantic wedding locations on the planet.

In 2014 the LGBT community spent $200 billion on international travel according to the World Travel Market while LGBT Europeans spent $66.1 billion.
