HUNDREDS OF SWIMMERS from across the country and abroad took part in the Liffey Swim in Dublin city centre today.
Conditions were described as perfect for the 2.2 kilometre race from the Rory O’Moore Bridge to the Custom House.
Brian Murray from Dublin of Eastern Bay Swimming Club and Jennifer Gilbert of the Swim4Life club won this year’s men’s and women’s events.
Decontamination showers were set up for the 430 swimmers to use after getting out of the water.
