WHAT’S THE STORY?
1. FORMER ANGLO boss David Drumm will face questioning about alleged fraud as his bankruptcy trial gets underway tomorrow. IBRC has filed a document with a list of alleged ”acts of fraud, misrepresentations, concealments, transfers or other predicate acts”.
2. WHATEVER PEOPLE might say about disingenuous politicians, most readers who answered our poll today said they’ve lied to politicians more than once themselves. Giving them a taste of their own medicine, are we?
3. THOUSANDS OF people are fleeing the Balkans after Bosnia’s worst floods in a century killed at least 47 people. There are now fears that dead bodies and animal carcasses could lead to disease outbreaks.
4. IT’LL BE nothing compared to what’s going on in Bosnia, but Met Éireann has warned we’re facing “very intense rain, thundery downpours” and spot flooding. Pack away the sun cream and break out the wellies again.
5. IN THE last of our European candidate interviews, Luke Ming Flanagan – never one to mince his words – said he’s done dealing with the monkey, he want’s to deal with the organ grinder from now on.
