Man arrested in connection with serious assault in Dublin that left victim in critical condition

Gardaí said investigations are continuing.

GARDAí HAVE ARRESTED a man in connection with a serious assault that took place in Dublin city’s Temple Bar area on 21 August.

The victim of the assault, a man in his 40s, remains in a critical condition in hospital, a Garda spokesperson said.

Gardaí said they arrested a man in his 20s this afternoon and that he is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Investigations are continuing, the spokesperson said.
