Man seriously injured after shooting at caravan park in Dublin

The man was shot a number of times and is in a serious condition in Beaumount Hospital in Dublin.

A MAN IS in hospital in Dublin after being shot a number of times at a caravan park in Donabate this afternoon.

The incident happened at around 4.40pm in which the man, believed to be in his 50s, was shot a number of times in the Hands caravan park off the Corballis Road near Donabate golf club in north Dublin.

The man was taken to Beaumount Hospital where his injuries are described as serious.

Gardaí investigating the incident have said that a car, believed to have been used in the shooting, was found burnt out at Turvey Woods in Donabate at around 5pm.

Both the scene of the shooting and the area where the car was found have been sealed off pending technical examinations.

No arrests have been made.
