POLICE IN ENGLAND have expanded the search for a missing boy to Ireland.

16-year-old David Mihai hasn’t been seen since Thursday 7 July at about 6pm in Stafford, a town roughly 25 miles north-west of Birmingham.

He had gone into Stafford itself with a carer to buy a lighter and then slipped away.

Staffordshire Police say they are becoming “increasingly concerned” for his welfare.

David has connections in both Northern Ireland and the Republic. The appeal for information regarding his whereabouts is being made in conjunction with the PSNI.

He is described as being of tanned complexion, 5’6″ tall, of slim build and with short dark-brown hair.

When last seen he was wearing pale-blue jeans, a grey jumper and blue suede shoes.

Anyone with any knowledge of David’s whereabouts should contact Staffordshire Police directly, quoting incident number 668 of 7 July.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.
