1. #CHILD SHOOTING: A man arrested for allegedly withholding information about the shooting of a six-year-old boy is still being questioned by gardaí.

2. #MASSACRE: Islamic militant group ISIL have posted graphic photos that appear to show its fighters massacring dozens of captured Iraqi soldiers.

3. #ROADS: A 14-year-old girl was killed and a 18-month-old baby was injured when a car crashed into a ditch outside Scartaglen in Co Kerry last night. The 20-year-old female driver was also hospitalised.

4. #NO GOING BACK: Independent TD Stephen Donnelly has ruled out returning to the banking inquiry as the Government announced that it will not be using the party whip on TDs.

5. #AIR SICKNESS: A Boston-bound Aer Lingus flight with 280 people on board had to turn back and return to Dublin Airport after a number of cabin crew members reported feeling unwell.
