Today’s review: Caught

(Fidget Feet)

Kate Cowan’s review: Caught is a three-person adaption of the tale of Red Riding Hood, though only two characters are seen on stage. This pint-sized Cirque du Soleil group from Donegal took the tale to a new level, using ropes, visual projections and a brilliantly haunting score. Red Riding Hood and the Wolf moved around the stage and the air so easily and beautifully with the music. The balance between light comedy and drama was perfect throughout the play. The grace, aerial and physical skill of both dancers was outstanding and captivates you from beginning to end. Plus props to the third man behind the scenes using his bodyweight and pullies to keep the dancers in the air. Would certainly go see another performance from Fidget Feet again.

In three words? Captivating. Energetic. Fun.
