A MAN HAS died and two people have been injured following a road crash on the M1 in the early hours of this morning. The man, who was a back seat passenger in a car was pronounced dead at the scene near the Donabate exit.
The driver and front passenger were taken to Beaumont Hospital with minor injuries. Gardai are asking witnesses to contact Swords Garda Station on 01 6664700.
Meanwhile five people have been injured, three seriously, following a single vehicle collision in Co. Kildare. The crash happened on the Clane to Celbridge road near St. Wolstan’s school.
All five are in their twenties and have been taken to hospital, where three are in a critical condition. Three men and two women were travelling the car when it crashed.
Gardai are continuing to look for witnesses to a crash which happened at Wolfestown, Eadestown near Naas on Saturday night, which left a 21-year-old man fighting for his life. He was in the back seat of a car when it crashed. The driver and front seat passengers were treated for less-serious injuries.
