A 35-YEAR-OLD WOMAN has died following a road traffic accident in Co Louth.
The accident occurred on the R132 at Castletown, outside Dunleer, at around 10:15pm last night.
The woman was the only occupant of her car when it collided with another.
The driver of the other car – also a 35-year-old woman – was seriously injured and taken by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
The road remains closed to facilitate a forensic examination, and traffic diversions are in place.
