Open thread: Is it okay to break Lent on St Patrick's Day?

Are you currently sitting in a sea of sweet wrappers?

AS TODAY IS St Patrick’s Day many people seem to think it is perfectly acceptable to park those notions you had about giving up sweets, coffee or whatever for Lent.

For 24 hours only, some people think it is okay to have a little break.

So, it is okay to break it for just one little day?

We want to know if you are going carry on or whether you have had a little slip today?

Poll: Have you/Will you be breaking Lent today?

Poll Results:

Yes, it's Patrick's Day (4342)
No, I'm sticking with it (1214)
I don't know (414)
I'm contemplating it (341)
