THE LATEST OFFERING in the Predator franchise is making waves with sci-fi fans the world over.
Prey, available to stream now on Disney+ is a gripping action-thriller that perfectly combines the suspenseful nature of the original Predator movie, with the survivalist extremes of The Revenant.
The result is 1 hour and 39 minutes packed with faultless pacing and drama.
What more could you want from a prequel?
We enter the world of the Comanche Nation in 1719. The film follows the story of a young woman Naru – a fierce and highly-skilled warrior on a mission to protect her people.
Naru, played by Amber Midthunder, is battling an alien predator that hunts humans for sport. The predator is equipped with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.
Purists will not be let down by the latest incarnation. In fact, this movie offers up a different take as it’s set 300 years prior to the original.
The film delivers on everything fans would want from a Predator outing; epic battles, impressive weapons and jump scares galore. Refreshingly, it also emits a new energy with compelling characters and nods to Comanche tradition.
With universal praise coming in for the film, be sure to check out this new feature Prey, now streaming exclusively on Disney+.
