Blizzard may cause some problems for Santa ... But don't worry, it should pass by Christmas Eve

Santa’s coming … Just five sleeps to go. But will he have a clear run to Ireland from the North Pole?

SANTA’S “IN GOOD shape” heading into his final, busy week before Christmas.

That’s the word from weatherman Gerald Fleming, who popped in yesterday to give us an update on what sort of conditions we can expect heading into the big day.

And while he had some bad news for grown-ups and children alike who might have been hoping for a white Christmas here — Fleming says there’s no shortage of snow and ice up at the North Pole.

“Pretty chilly,” is how the Met Éireann man described it.

In fact…

I hear the elves had to get an extra helping of hot chocolate because of the cold — to kind of get them going.

On to the important stuff…

Will Santa have a clear run to Ireland next Wednesday night — Christmas Eve?

There’s a possibility of a bit of a blizzard happening up there — maybe about next Tuesday.

We’re keeping an eye on that — but we think it might blow over by the time it gets to Christmas Eve.
